Quick recap:

2 weeks after we moved in, we asked our bank to send us new checks with the new address. We never got them. On the day that the checks were delivered, petty thieves raided the mailboxes in our street and took all the checks, bank statements, and credit card statements they could find. The thieves forged and cashed two of our checks before they were caught by the police. Thankfully, our bank credited our bank account with the amount that was cashed by the thieves.

This week, our house was livelier than usual. We had 2 dinner parties: a make-your-own-taco night with our Life Group (11 people total) and dinner with Chad and Ada from Arizona. The enormous island in the kitchen was just right for a party of 11 people, big enough to hold all the food and big enough for everyone to gather around it for conversations. For Life Group, we even got to fire up the grill in the backyard. Yay for warmer weather! =)
