San Diego Zoo
For my birthday, hubby planned a day trip to the San Diego Zoo. I was so happy, since I love seeing animals up close and taking pictures of them. The weather was perfect (in the 80s), which is rare in the winter.
This weekend, the San Diego Zoo put on special programs to showcase the animals from Down Under. The event is called Koala Palooza.
Koala bears sleep 20 hours every day. Since they spend so much time sleeping, I was glad that we could attend a keeper talk and actually see an active koala bear.
And of course, we lined up to catch a glimpse of the cute panda bears. This is a video of the mother and her 17-month-old cub. Since pandas are solitary animals, the cub will be separated from her mother soon.
