A Glimmer of Hope
Last week was a hard struggle for me in the area of job search. I spent some time sorting out why I get so disappointed with the circumstances. I was so focused on my job search that I attached my identity to how well my job search went. My roommate Susan told me quite frankly that I was focusing too much on myself and not enough on what God can do. She was right, even though I didn't want to hear it at the time.
Today I got a phone call from HR at Abbott Vascular in Temecula. I applied to several openings last week and the HR person wanted to get some info from me before sending my resume on to the hiring managers. It gave me a glimmer of hope. It came at a time when I didn't expect it and at a time when I have started to doubt that I could get a job at all. Thanks to those of you who have prayed with me and walked with me so far. Thanks to our Father who cares for us and draws us even when we are lost and confused.

That's wonderful! Sometimes, God opens an opportunity at the most unexpected time.
