International Food Festival
The city of Orange held an International Food Festival over Labor Day weekend. The profits supported local nonprofit organizations. My small group walked around and tried Japanese food, Polish sausages, and Greek desserts. My favorite was the Japanese shaved ice with artificial melon flavoring. It felt good to eat something cold in the 100+ degree weather.

Afterwards, we hid from the heat by going to the movie theater. We watched Stardust. I found some parts of the movie funny. Andy and Abel compared the movie to The Princess Bride and of course, started reciting quotes like "Inconceivable!" The Princess Bride was cornier (and a classic). =)
By the time the movie was over, the day has turned into early evening and the temperature has dropped to a more bearable level. We ended the day with dinner at the Corner Bakery and dessert at Yogurtland. Yum!

Which small group is this? Rock Harbor or Newsong?

This is a Newsong Irvine small group. Only 2 of the 6 sets of couples attend Newsong Irvine. The other 4 sets of couples (including A and me) eventually called other churches "home," but stuck with this small group.
