Yesterday, I had some fun with ice in the lab. The -80C freezer had a lot of ice accumulated near the door. It requires a defrosting every few months or so...which means taking a hammer and chipping away at the ice built up. After this, I think making an ice sculpture will be cool. =)

Today, the temperature control for the ventilation in the lab was broken. I came in from the pouring rain to a lab that's about 86F (30C). Off came the jacket and sweater. Whew!

Come to think of it, I could have just opened the door to the -80C freezer today and let the nice sauna melt the ice on the door faster than me chipping away at it yesterday. =P
